About Winter Hill Winter Hill is in Lancashire in the North West of England. It is home to many beautiful and unique sights and is famous for the transmitter mast which delivers television signals to a large part of the region and which is a landmark visible for many miles around. The hill is also home to Lever Park, stunning gardens built by Bolton philanthropist Lord Leverhulme at the start of the 20th Century. The site is easily accessible by a combination of car and foot.
The map above shows some of the landmarks on Winter Hill, including the Pigeon Tower and terraced gardens which are a part of the former Lord Leverhulme's home. Rivington Pike is on one of the peaks and is hundreds of years old. |
