Both tourers and mountain bikers visit the varied landscape of Winter Hill. For tourers the views are stunning, the tracks open and the terrain challenging - not to mention that the high altitude and thinner air makes for good training of the lungs.

Mountain bikers like the rapid descents and runs and the rugged and rough pathways which criss-cross the hill. Favourites include "The Eliminator" which offers a steep and rocky descent from Rivington Pike to the road beneath and beyond!
