Gliders

There are several spots on Winter Hill which are good for flying, making the area popular with many thermal riders, including the members of the Rivington Soaring Association. The Pike is a firm favourite for many, although if the wind is coming from a different direction then there is a site just across from the transmitter mast and another on the adjacent "Noon Hill".
