The Movie A short film portraying a day in the life of Winter Hill and telling some of the area's many stories, including the aeroplane crash of 1958 and the murder of George Henderson as well as introducing the diverse visitors who pass through on a typical day. The film won Best NW Student Documentary from the Royal Television Society in 2002/3.
Although un-rated, I would suggest that this film would qualify for a 12 rating if reviewed by the BBFC. It can be downloaded in a choice of two formats: the smaller Real Media format file which requires "Real Media Player" to view (download the "Free Real Player" here) and the higher quality "wmv" file which can be played in "Windows Media Player". Due to the size of the files, they are best downloaded using a broadband (ADSL or high speed cable Internet) connection. Simply select "DOWNLOAD MOVIE" and, when prompted, save the file to the location of your choice on your hard disk (desktop is easiest). Play the film by simply double clicking the movie icon - it runs for nine and a half minutes.
